Urgent help
Think someone's in your email?
We can usually start the same day, including evenings and weekends. We lock it down, work out what was accessed and sent, and give you a report your insurer, bank or the ICO will accept.
- Contain: sign the attacker out, remove malicious inbox rules, forwarding and app consents, enforce MFA
- Investigate: sign-in and audit logs, a timeline of what they read and sent, and who else may be affected
- Report: plain-English findings with evidence, suitable for your insurer, bank, solicitor or a data breach report
- Prevent: the fixes that stop it happening again

What we cover
Six areas, one Microsoft 365 specialist
Four areas of security, plus migrations and everyday support. Pick one, or take a package that covers several. Every job starts with a read-only review, and nothing changes without your agreement.
1 · Email security
Stop fake emails reaching your team, and stop criminals sending as you
What we do
- Lock your domain against spoofing: SPF, DKIM and DMARC taken to full protection without breaking genuine mail
- Anti-phishing and impersonation protection for directors and finance staff
- Links and attachments checked before anyone clicks them
- Review of forwarding rules, shared mailboxes and who can read whose mail
- Optional monthly monitoring, with an alert if something new starts sending as you
What you get
Before/after results from our email check, a settings report, and a domain that can't be used to fake your invoices.

2 · Sign-ins & access
Make sure only the right people get in, from the right places and devices
What we do
- Multi-factor sign-in for everyone, with phishing-resistant options for admins
- Block risky sign-ins: old email protocols, unexpected countries, unmanaged devices
- Separate, protected admin accounts, with no day-to-day use of admin rights
- Guest and external sharing review: who outside your business still has access?
- A joiner and leaver checklist, so ex-staff are locked out on their last day
What you get
A red/amber/green report on MFA gaps, risky sign-ins, stale guests and admin exposure, plus a fix plan.

- Security baselines and automatic updates managed centrally
- Ransomware protections switched on (attack surface reduction, tamper protection)
- Alerts set up so the right person hears about real problems, not noise
- Your Microsoft Secure Score improved, with before/after evidence for insurers and Cyber Essentials

4 · Data protection & compliance
Know where your sensitive data lives, who can see it, and stop it leaving the business
Data discovery & mapping
Find where personal and sensitive data sits across email, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams: NI numbers, bank details, HR and health records. You get a data map you can use for your GDPR records.
Sensitivity labels
A simple scheme (Public, Internal, Confidential, Highly Confidential) that can encrypt files and stays with them, even when they're emailed outside.
Data loss prevention
Warn or block when someone tries to send card numbers, payroll or client data to the wrong place.
Retention
Keep what you legally must, for as long as you must, and stop hoarding what you shouldn't.
DSAR & HR email searches
Subject access requests, grievances and legal holds, with a search log that supports a "reasonable and proportionate" search under the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025. Works directly with your solicitor or HR adviser.
Copilot readiness
Copilot can find anything a user has access to. We fix oversharing in SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive and set up AI controls before you roll it out.
What you get
A data map and "top 10 risks" summary, labels and policies tested in warning mode before they're enforced, and a one-page staff guide so people know what to do.

5 · Migrations
Move your email and files to Microsoft 365, from the cloud or your own servers, without losing a thing
What we do
- Email moves to Microsoft 365 from GoDaddy, Google, IMAP hosts and other providers
- On-premises Exchange servers moved to Exchange Online using a cutover, staged or hybrid migration, whichever suits your version and size
- Google Workspace to Microsoft 365, and back: mail, calendars, contacts and Drive files, with Gmail labels and sharing translated properly
- Tenant-to-tenant moves for mergers, acquisitions, rebrands and splits, including mailboxes, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams
- File servers, NAS drives, Google Drive and Dropbox moved to SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive, with a cleaned-up folder structure and existing permissions mapped to least-privilege SharePoint groups
- Domain and DNS cutover planned around your business, with mail flowing on both sides until everything has moved
- Security switched on in the new tenant from day one, not as an afterthought
What you get
A readiness report before anything moves, a fixed per-user price, item-count and checksum checks after, and a signed-off migration report.

All four security areas · any sizeBusiness Premium Switch-On
Microsoft 365 Business Premium, E3 and E5 include serious security tools that most businesses pay for and never use. We review what's switched on, then configure email security, sign-ins, devices and data protection, with a before/after report.
Fair pricing, whatever your size
Fixed prices keep things simple, but every tenant is different. Here's how we make sure you only pay for what you need.
Volume pricing for larger tenants
Per-user and per-mailbox prices come down as you grow: 10% off from 50, 20% off from 250, and a tailored price for 1,000 or more.
A written quote shaped to you
The prices here are starting points. After a free 15-minute call you get a fixed quote for your tenant, so you never pay for parts you don't need.
Save when you combine services
Moving to Microsoft 365 and securing it at the same time, or adding a support plan after a project? We reduce the price of each part.

Common questions
Do I need extra licences?
Often not. Business Premium and E3/E5 include most of these tools. If something needs an add-on, we tell you before quoting.
Do you replace my IT provider?
Only if you want us to. We can do specialist jobs alongside your existing IT support, or look after your Microsoft 365 day to day if you don't have anyone.
What access do you need?
Reviews start with read-only access that you grant and can remove at any time. Changes are only made with your written agreement.
Will labels or DLP disrupt my staff?
New policies run in warning or test mode first, so we can tune them before anything is blocked.
Is there a discount for larger organisations?
Yes. Per-user and per-mailbox prices drop by 10% from 50 and 20% from 250, and organisations with 1,000 or more get a tailored price. We also reduce prices when you combine services.
Is there a contract?
One-off jobs are a single fixed-price agreement. Monitoring and support plans are monthly and you can cancel with 30 days' notice.
Can you move us off our own servers?
Yes. We move on-premises Exchange to Exchange Online, and file servers or NAS drives to SharePoint and OneDrive, keeping the right people's access to the right folders. Your old servers keep running until you sign off.
Will we lose email during a migration?
No. Mail keeps flowing to the old system until everything has copied, then we switch over, usually out of hours. Your old data stays untouched until you sign off.
How do existing clients get help?
Email support@skmit.co.uk. For anything urgent, put URGENT in the subject line.
How is my data protected?
Client data stays in your tenant wherever possible, and we're covered by professional indemnity and cyber insurance.
